In the Summer holidays of 2024 we ran a Children’s Summer Club at Roots and Seeds. Offering 2 sessions for the children of the Pantry to attend.

A great day was had by all- the sun shone for us on both days and the children all had a fantastic time and took part in the large range of activities that were on offer, food, drink and ice cream was also kindly provided by Roots and Seeds.

Some of the activities the children took part in included growing cress, a treasure hunt, a nature colour matching game and making home-made tissue flowers. All whilst learning about the great outdoors and having the chance to be in the outside with others.

We were lucky to be the first diners to sit in and have pizza at the new restaurant ‘Cativo’ that opened later that day. They serve home-made sour dough pizza with all ingredients locally sourced, if you get a chance be sure to give them a try!

On our second holiday club day the children were served delicious home made burgers and enjoyed a picnic out in the sun.

A big thank you to Roots and Seeds for having us. Toby and Sam are always a huge support to the Pantry and we are very grateful for these opportunities they offer.
